About

I never grew up wanting to become a photographer, it just happened over the space of a number of years.

My father worked for Kodak Australasia in Coburg for 21 years. As a kid I guess I was exposed to various cameras and processes, even though my father worked in finance. Maybe this is where the seed was planted.

My career began with IT first, the photography came later whilst planning a trip to Europe. My first overseas holiday and purchase of a new SLR camera to take with me.

After purchasing the camera, I began to get disappointed that I was unable to take the visually stunning photos that I saw everywhere.

I decided to take some courses and promptly completed several courses before I set off on my trip.

The rest of the story you can see here on my website

My Equipment:

I have used various brands over the last ten years, but recently have switched completely to Sony cameras, specifically the Sony A7R.

I was fed up with carting so much gear around with me and big bulky SLR cameras.

My Nikon D800 gathers dust now.

I also like the idea that I have unlimited choices when it comes to lenses for the Sony A7 range.

I have amassed a decent collection of film lenses for my Sony which I enjoy using.
